Remember to take the time to care for the little ones.  The wild birds always provide much entertainment for our cats, especially during the cold wintery months.  Our cats love to watch the Gold Finches and other song birds from our windows.  We have a feeder at almost every window in our home, not only for the benefit of the little birds but also for the viewing pleasure of our cats.

Nestled in the valley of Petit Jean, Blue Point and Perry Mountains our farm is a quiet place we call home.  Although we raise Red Brangus and Red Angus registered cattle along with our commercial herds and have three hay barns, our cats live with us in our home.  Our nearest neighbor lives a half mile away.

We enjoy the wide-open spaces and realize that our cats appreciate the same joys of life.  On this page, you will see some of the scenery that we share with our sweet cats.  We believe that a stress free environment is an essential and important part of raising healthy felines.  This coupled with the best food nature and cat food companies have to offer, helps us achieve our goals here at PfsstCats Cattery.

To the North, our cats share our view of Petit Jean Mountain and like to watch our cows graze.  In the South, there is Perry Mountain.  To the West, there is one of my favorite ponds, which has an old Mulberry tree that we share with the song birds.  There are always enough berries to share with our feathered friends.  Just behind the pond, our cats have a panoramic view of Blue Point Mountain.  To the East they have a view of our young stand of bamboo.
Most of all, we want to raise happy and healthy cats.  For this reason, we do not practice long term caging of our cats, because we feel this would be detrimental to our goal.  In cases when segregation is required, such as with birthing queens and stud quarters, those cats have separate rooms or walk-in areas.  All our cats have access to a large out door covered run.
Our cats play and lounge outside in this rustic, country-size, covered run, which measures 18 ft. W x 40 ft. L x 15 ft. H and is constructed out of our home-grown Cedar trees and sturdy 10-gauge 1" x 2" welded wire.  Our cats scratching posts for the outdoors are also made of solid Cedar tree trunks.  Currently, we are in the process of adding another spacious outdoor run. Shadey is perched on top of his favorite Cedar scratching post out in the outdoor run.

Every year, our home-raised Canadian Geese migrate, but in the Spring return home to raise their young on our west pond.  All the cats enjoy watching the young goslings graze in the fields and test their wings.  On one of my trips to Alaska, I visited Creamer's Dairy.  I was delighted to see a field full of Canadian Geese and wondered, fancifully, if our geese may have been among the gaggle.  Thank you for visiting the PfsstCats Pfamily Pfarm.
